A Shaking for an Awakening

In Matthew 16:18-19, Jesus tells us that He is building His church (ekklesia) and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Every place in the New Testament that says church is the word ekklesia (a governing body). Verse 18 says: “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be what is bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth is what will be loosed in heaven.”

Isaiah 22:22 says: and the key of the house of David I will lay upon his shoulder; he shall open and no one shall shut, he shall shut and no one will open.

I believe The Lord is calling us to function in a higher place than we ever have as His governing body in the earth today. We have heard a prophetic word for many years about coming into alignment. One revelation is we have to be in alignment with heaven. We want to be in agreement with what heaven is doing and saying. Jesus himself told His disciples I have many things to say to you but I won’t. He only said what He heard His Father say. One thing heaven is saying today is out of Haggai 2:6-7:

“For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts."

Everything that can be shaken is going to be shaken. He said I will shake all nations. The shaking has begun and most feel like it will increase. We are part of a kingdom that cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:28). As we have been hearing this year, we have to stay anchored, we have to fix our gaze on Him and rest in His promises. This is a shaking for an awakening. Maybe a couple of years ago we were having prayer at our church. To start out, my husband Steve was leading some worship. He was playing his guitar and singing and he said all of a sudden it felt like he just woke up. He said he thought, ‘That is strange. I couldn’t have been asleep’, but then it happened again. He then looked at me and told me to start leading in prayer. I had no idea what had just happened to him, but the first thing I started praying was, “WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP”.

I believe it’s time to be fully awake. If you read about awakenings of the past, you will see that He first came to awaken the church and then it impacted society. I believe He is coming to awaken the church and then the nations will be touched, at least a billion soul harvest will be reaped and nations discipled.
